At each site, we are studying peat core records to understand the evolution of blanket bogs, their degradation and to help us understand how we can protect and restore them.

Understanding change through time relating to water tables, carbon content, pollen, isotopes or charcoal will allow us to reconstruct their past to better manage them in the future and to promote their protection across the globe.
